Rael Wambura is an AGYW enrolled in the USAID Nuru ya Mtoto project. A high-impact beneficiary from Bukira East Ward, Migori County – Rael was enrolled through the Karosi gold mine site. As the head of a child-headed household, she cares for her two siblings and her daughter. To support her family, she initially ran a small cereal stall and supplemented her income by working at the mine site.

Having been trained on Financial Capability and Entrepreneurship, Rael applied for a business boost. During the high-impact business application process, she underwent vetting and qualified for the high-impact award. She received 50,000 Kenya shillings from the project, which she used to expand her cereal business.
